Anthea Black will be presenting information about the artist-run centres listed below and will link issues specific to Alberta, yet also shared by centres and local artists in Ottawa today. This is a great opportunity for artists to find out about the centres’ mandate and exhibition opportunities; a valuable networking opportunity and an affirmation of our national connection to artists and artist-run centres in other regions of Canada.
Anthea Black is an artist, art-writer and the Director of Stride Gallery, Calgary. She has attended NSCAD, ACAD, where she received a BFA in Drawing, the Banff Centre, and several conferences on contemporary art and artist-run culture.
