This exhibition features recent work by a selection of artists in the 2005 Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art exhibition. This year, the Alberta Biennial includes the work of 21 Alberta artists, and is being organized as a collaboration between The Edmonton Art Gallery and the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Co-curated by Catherine Crowston and Anthony Kiendl, the full exhibition opens at the Walter Phillips Gallery on February 26, 2005 and at The Edmonton Art Gallery on May 20, 2005. The Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art was initiated in 1996 to celebrate the richness and diversity of art-making in Alberta and to foster collaboration and dialogue between artists and arts organizations.
