Katherine Chi

Since her debut recital at age nine, Calgary-born pianist Katherine Chi has performed throughout North America and Europe to great acclaim, including her 2003 New York recital debut about which The New York Times raved, “Ms. Chi displays a keen musical intelligence and a powerful arsenal of technique.” Along with her many recitals, performances with orchestra and chamber groups, and festival appearances, Katherine was the first Canadian and first woman to win Canada’s Honens International Piano Competition. Programme to include: Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 17 in D minor, Op. 31, No. 3., Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit, and Four Impromptus, Op. 142 by Schubert.
