Theatre Replacement’s BIOBOXES is a collection of six bilingual, one-on-one performances that take place in a most intimate theatre – a box worn on the actor’s shoulders. For each seven-minute interactive performance, the lone actor shares a true story about a real person with only one audience member. Speaker and spectator sit face-to-face, close enough to sense one another’s heart beat and feel one another’s breath.
This eclectic series of storytelling performances – created by some of Vancouver’s most adventurous, culturally diverse artists – brilliantly demonstrates how interactive and personal live theatre can really be.
