The Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir plays a ferocious combination of traditional blues, Appalachian folk and ragged gospel, captivating everyone from punk rock to folk music fans. Formed from the ashes of several divergent Calgary bands, the Agnostics feature Judd Palmer on vocals, banjo, and harmonica, Vladimir Sobolewski on stand-up bass, guitarist/vocalist Bob Keelaghan, and Jay Woolley on drums. The group claims they were "founded in an effort to forge a kind of gospel for the unbeliever." Their sound is reminiscent of the deep-south by way of Chicago, with no gimmicks to get in the way.
