Chris Andrew is known in jazz circles as an inventive and multi-dimensional pianist who has recently released his first purely jazz recording, “Not so Fast,” with Mike Lent on bass and Sandro Dominelli (of Juno-nominated Sandro Dominelli Sextet fame) on drums. It is a jazz exploration that pays homage to compositional traditions while at the same time pushing the improvisational envelope beyond anything predictable or expected. This is a night not-to-be-missed for jazz lovers.
